I don’t know if you’ve heard but childless cat ladies have been in the news quite a bit lately. Something to do with something some misinformed white dude said some years ago.

And I don’t know if you’ve heard but I actually wrote the book on childless (actually, childfree) cat (and dog and non-pet) ladies (and gents and queer and gender non-conforming peeps) some years ago.

Because of Clueless White Dude’s recent promotion, my phone has been ringing off the hook lately and it has given me the chance to say things like this:

Apropos of nothing, a few months ago, Lance and I took a VERY brief trip south to chat with one Dr. Phil McGraw about our own choice not to have kids and about my 15+ years of research on said topic. (Later, I’ll write about the magic of CBD + DEEP meditation + wheelchairs for keeping your wits about you while traveling with long COVID.) See?

Dr. Phil was pleasant enough but by golly, he invited a couple of rowdy guests to join us! There was also a smart and creative fellow childfree guest we were lucky to meet and lots of supportive and fun audience members. All in all, we had a hoot of an experience. The reason I’m telling you any of this is that our episode AIRS TONIGHT!!
